It doesn’t seem a minute since the last one, but here at Braintree HQ we’re all getting rather excited for another long Bank Holiday weekend. Of course we love it here in the Braintree office, but when we switch on our out-of-office replies later today, here’s what we’ll all be running off to enjoy this weekend…

What have you got planned for the long weekend?

Bank Holiday Weekend Fun

“I plan to have a nice and chilled long weekend in London and what I do will be dependent on the weather! If it’s sunny, I plan to be out in it as much as possible and maybe visit Lee Valley Park where you can watch the white water rafting (it’s where the Olympic white water rafting was held!) I’ll then find a nice country pub garden to chill out, relax, and soak up the sun 🙂 And if it rains… all the above but with an umbrella!”

“I’ll be escaping the big smoke and heading over to picturesque city of Bath for the weekend to visit family and catch up with old friends. I’m planning on exploring the sites, shops, cafes and Bath’s many parks including the beautiful botanical gardens. The weather forecast isn’t looking too promising so i’ll be packing a few Braintree layers to keep warm! As well as exploring the historical roman baths, I’m also hoping to pay a visit to the Natural Thermal Bath Spa and their open-air rooftop pool (which looks aaamazing!)”

Bank Holiday Weekend Fun

“I’ll be catching up with friends at a 40th birthday party Saturday night in Angel, a bike ride and a wonder down Northcote Road on Sunday, then a catch up lunch with family on Monday. The lunch on Monday will be at a really cool beer garden in Earlsfield – it’s got to be one of the biggest beer gardens in London. So nice and super family-friendly (the place to be if you have a little one!) – check it out here.”

Bank Holiday Weekend Fun

“On Sunday, I’ll be found wondering around Columbia Road flower market and shops. Then on Bank Holiday Monday i’m planning on having a picnic at Primrose Hill in London – if the weather holds out – for sandwiches, Pimms, and a game of cricket.”
