Meet the Team - Rikke

Welcome to our new ‘Meet the Team’ blog segment. Once a week we’ll carrying out a sixty second interview a Braintree team member so you can get to know them a little better. First up, we’re heading over to the sales team to catch up with the lovely Rikke Iversen.

When I was younger, I dreamt of being… Happy! I grew up in a home where we were taught to value the small things.

Highlight of working at Braintree so far… Attending the trade shows, presenting the SS14 ranges to our customers and hearing their response to the next season.

My one fashion rule to live by… You have to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing as this will make you smile and look more attractive.

My most prized item of clothing is… My new Braintree Hip Zip Throws. I have them in two different colours and I feel I can wear those over all outfits and they will always add that little bit of extra coolness.

A hidden talent… I am brilliant at eating desserts. I can eat desserts all day long, every day! I always check the dessert menus as the first thing when going to restaurants and I even have a small cupcake tattooed on my left wrist. I love them!

The one thing in my bag I couldn’t live without… I couldn’t live without my phone. It has my day planner, all the music I like to listen to while commuting to work and with that I stay in touch with my friends and family back home in Denmark.

If I was a shoe… I would be left in the shoe rack. I prefer to walk around barefoot or at least in sandals (weather permitting) so my feet can breathe.

My style icons include… Coco Chanel because she was elegant, innovative and ground breaking for her time. And Sienna Miller because she understands how to combine rock-chic with bohemian, casual and comfortable clothes.

My worst fashion faux pas… In the 80’s, I had the classical mullet “business in the front, party in the back” hair-do.

My favourite Braintree purchase ever… The Haisla Fleece! Always cuddle up in that when I come home from work.

Favourite London Landmark… Tower Bridge. It is the most beautiful bridge in the world. I live quite close to it and one of my favourite things is to cycle over it.

Ultimate holiday destination… So many places to visit, so little time. I would consider myself a ‘proper’ traveller and would love to go to India – but it’s such a big country that it would take me at least 6 months to “cover” it. So right now I just look forward to an upcoming 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Hopefully I can also arrange for a re-visit in East Africa soon. Uh, and would love to go to the Middle East too!

On the lunch menu today… Indian Curry. If my last meal is Indian I will die happy!

Favourite part of working at Braintree… All my really, really nice colleagues and our LOVELY Braintree customers. All the people I have met through Braintree are just genuinely nice and lovely people and I love every day of it!

Thank you Rikke!

With Love
