The Braintree team has grown rapidly over the summer, so in order for you to get to know the team a little better, each week we’re picking on different team member to answer our 60 second interview! This week, meet Sarah, our garment technologist here at Braintree HQ.

Favourite part of working at Braintree… Would be working on the new seasons range, I get sick of each range quickly, so when we start working on the new season, it’s always fun.

When I was younger, I dreamt of being… When I was really young I was totally obsessed with music video clips and I dreamt of being in one of them as a ‘dancer’ …shame I can’t dance. Now I look back, it was probably the fashion styling I liked most about them. Once I got a little older it was always a fashion designer.

My one fashion rule to live by… Too much is never enough.

My most prized item of clothing is… I have many items of clothing I can’t bear to throw away…it’s a bit of a problem. Most of them are vintage pieces I have found in charity shops and markets. But right now – my fav item would have to be my new black platform trainers I bought in Shanghai last week.

A hidden talent… Sewing. Not really a hidden talent? Goes hand in hand with the fashion industry.

The one thing in my bag I couldn’t live without… In London – My Oyster card. Anywhere else  – Lip balm.

If I was a shoe… I would be printed, fun, sexy and comfy.

My worst fashion faux pas… Don’t really have any, I loved everything I was wearing at the time.

My favourite Braintree purchase ever… is my Dakota May Slacks – I wear them every day, great for kicking around the house in.

Favourite London Landmark… Hampstead Heath.

Ultimate holiday destination… I’m D E S P E R A T E to get to the West Coast of the USA. Desperate.

Today I’m wearing… Double denim. Jeans and a jean shirt – both from GAP. A merino wool thermal underneath and my Zara jacket over the top to keep me warm, winter is coming…

On the lunch menu today… Fish and salad.

Favourite radio station… BBC Radio 6 by FAR.

My style icons include… Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Paloma Faith, Gwen Stefani and Alexa Chung. All great style and all major babes.

From the current Braintree collection, I’ll be wearing… the Haisla Fleece, love the print!

Highlight of working at Braintree so far… Oh there’s loads, being part of a business that is growing so quickly – seeing how much the business has developed in that time, the travel, photo shoots, trade shows and of course all the people at Braintree HQ.

Thanks Sarah!

With Love
