We’re just days away from one of the largest consumption days of the year, Black Friday. But rather than taking part along with the rest of the world, we are proud to announce that we’re once again holding our Thoughtful Friday campaign on the same day.
Black Friday is a consumerist movement that isn’t in line with our values here at Thought. Instead, we prefer to celebrate our alternative ‘Thoughtful Friday’, which aims to give back.
We’ll be donating 50% of all sales made through our website on Thoughtful Friday, to charity. This year the donation will be split between two charities who share our passions for sustainability and the natural environment; Trees for Cities and the Marine Conservation Society.
Trees for Cities are the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by creating greener cities. Their dedicated volunteers cultivate lasting change in neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or growing food with children.

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife. Their mission is to drive political, cultural and social change for healthy seas and coasts that support abundant marine wildlife, sustainable livelihoods and enjoyment for all.
