Our stockists mean so much to us here at Thought. We recently caught up with Sarah from Sarah B in Cheltenham, the winner of our autumn window competition and had the chance to ask her a few questions. Grab a cuppa and read on below to find out more.

What’s your role at Sarah B?

I’m Sarah Bunting, the owner of Sarah B Boutique in Cheltenham, UK.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

I love buying the collections and bringing it alive in store — watching the story boards you created from six months ago come alive in your own space, and then seeing your customer’s reactions.

How did you get into owning your own shop?

I’ve had a tea-room and gift shop for the past six years, and I always wanted to expand on our clothing offering, but this was difficult due to lack of space. When this unit became available next door, I decided to take the plunge and open up the Sarah B Boutique! Having sold Thought accessories in the gift shop I was aware of their collections and ethos and really wanted this as an anchor brand.

Where do you live, and who do you live with?

I live within walking distance from the shop with my husband, Tony.

How have you been living more thoughtfully recently?

Having spent more time sourcing fashion collections, my eyes have been opened to circular fashion and the need now more than ever to re-use and re-generate before clothing goes to recycling. We are currently exploring the idea of introducing a vintage denim line, where our customers will be able to shop pre-loved pieces.

What’s your favourite piece from our AW20 collection and why?

It has to be the Blair Fair Isle Sweater because of the autumnal colours instead of the usual Christmas themed designs. It’s a real wear-now piece and can be worn well into Jan/Feb when it will still be cold, meaning you will get a lot more wear out of it. AW is my favourite season and I love to layer — this is the perfect piece for that!
