Love Parks Week
is a national campaign, running from Friday 25th July to Sunday 3rd August 2014, which aims to get people outside and enjoying all the fantastic facilities that their local parks have to offer.
For many of us, parks are the biggest gardens we use regularly and are essential to healthy, happy communities - yet we rarely think of them. This lack of attention is what Love Parks Week
, Britain's largest celebration of open spaces, seeks to address. Last year 1.4 million participants attended 1,100 events across the UK to celebrate their local parks and to help raise awareness of green spaces.
To celebrate National Love Parks Week 2014, we asked the Braintree HQ team to each take a snap of their favourite park or green space over the weekend...
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
During the next week, there's a whole range of outdoor activities and events for all ages across the UK's green spaces. Family-friendly and mostly free, they are a great opportunity to get close to nature and have fun! Check out the National Parks Website
for ideas on family activities, walks, bike rides and more.
Love Parks Week 2014 runs until Sunday 3rd August. For more information and events see loveparksweek.org.uk
