Nothing's more important than starting the day off on the right foot. And even if it does mean a little less sleep, or some pre-planning, wouldn't it be worth it if it means getting just a bit more 'me time'? Here are some of our tried-and-tested ideas that make rising from your slumber even just 15 minutes earlier totally worth it. Rise Early, Reap Rewards 1. READ A CHAPTER (OR TWO) OF YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK You may have read it cover-to-cover countless times, but it's so good, you'll never tire of it. And when you do fancy something new to read, check out our recommendations. 2. LINGER OVER BREAKFAST The secret? Prepping a healthy brekkie the night before. 3. CHOP SOME VEGGIES So that when you get home, half the prep for dinner is done. 4. MEDITATE FOR 10 MINUTES There are lots of podcasts you can download for free. Try starting off with some guided exercises like mindfulness expert Mark Williams' 10 Minute Meditation. 5. DEDICATE A PLACE FOR DAILY ESSENTIALS Pack your bag the night before and leave it at the door. This is something some of our team do systematically. No-one wants to endure the madcap search for keys and cash. Get into the habit of leaving your essentials in a memorable, safe place that means you’ll never have to run around looking for them.
