One thing we all have in common right now is our normal daily schedules have been completely flipped on their heads. Whilst a lot of us have been slowly but surely getting used to our new set up, it's definitely been a struggle! We asked a few of our team to tell us how they are adapting to working from home.
Designing at home is an interesting challenge because I find so much inspiration from my surroundings. Not being able to go to museums, experience nature, new places means I've had to get creative online to find exciting art and experiences. Luckily, a lot of my favourite museums are now opportunity free virtual tours and talks to keep people inspired whilst staying at home.
I can't work without some form of coffee so having a lunch time iced coffee is a way to keep my office routine vs work from home routine consistent. Small things like this help me stay sane during weird times like these!
Two screens has been a saviour for me at home! Being able to move around and
I recently cleared out my work area of random clutter and decided to be a lot more intentional with my space. Fresh leaves, a radio for laid back, calming tunes, my favourite candle for atmosphere and a nice view is all I need to make a perfect workspace.
I just got a puppy so working from home has had to be balanced with nap time and potty training! Needing to take her out every hour gives me the opportunity to stretch my legs and get a bit of fresh air, it's made me realise that I don't do enough of that in general; making sure I'm not sat in the same position for hours on end. Just having a two or three minute break to walk around and take your eyes off your screen makes everything a little bit easier.
