5 Ways To Create A Sustainable Bouquet

We asked Hazel to give us some top tips on how to create a sustainable bouquet, perfect for a Summer garden party.

Wherever possible, use seasonal British flowers. When flowers are imported, there is a large environmental footprint from the travel required. Head over to @flowersfromthefarm to find your local grower.

If you're finding it tricky to choose the right colours for your blooms, take a look at your space and pick out tones that compliment the surrounds.

For a textural display choose large focal stems, a few blooms with smaller heads and a bunch of delicate filler flowers.

Remember green is a colour, you can use different varieties of foliage to create an amazing bouquet too.

To display your bouquet, cut stems at an angle and remove any foliage below the water line before placing in a vase. This increases the surface area of the stem, allowing it to absorb more water.
