Sticking To A Routine
Now that we are spending more time at home, it's vital for our wellbeing to make sure we try to find a routine that works for us. Having a routine can allow us to feel more in control of our lives, and allows the mind to feel more at ease. Read on as we share some of our top tips for creating a routine.
Try to Wake up Early
The dark mornings make it seem all the more tempting to stay in bed for that little bit longer. However, we recommend giving yourself a bit of time in the morning to prepare for the day; make a hot drink, sit for a while and think about the day ahead. You may even fancy listening to a podcast or doing some gentle stretching.
Write Positive Affirmations
Find some time in the day to write and repeat some positive affirmations. Whether it's in between Zoom calls, on your lunch break or before you start the day; spend time affirming yourself in who you are and your abilities.
Cook Healthy Meals
Making delicious meals doesn't have to take a long time. We recommend making a larger portion than what you need, and saving some for meals throughout the week. That way, you'll save time and will always have something tasty to tuck into. Discover our one-pot recipes; these will save you time and effort.
Structure Your Day
Organising tasks in order of priority helps to manage workloads. It is also beneficial to work out what time of day you are most productive, and plan work accordingly. If you typically have more energy in the morning, plan larger, more complex tasks for then. If you are more of a night owl and work better in the evenings, save the more substantial work for later in the day.
