Your End Of Summer Reading List

Whether you have a last minute holiday planned or you're spending the Summer enjoying some much needed downtime, there's nothing quite like relaxing with a good book. Read on as we recommend some of the book we've been getting lost in recently.

Victoria Park, Gemma Reeves

This delightful book follows the lives of Mona and Wolfie, who have lived by Victoria Park for over 50 years. Told from multiple perspectives, this novel explores the lives of 12 individuals and how their stories intertwine throughout a whole year.

The Other Black Girl, Dakiya Dalila Harris

Following two Black girls making their way in the world of book publishing, this novel offers an interesting social commentary, as well as a gripping thriller.

The Distance Between Us, Maggie O'Farrell

'The Distance Between Us' is a fascinating tale of how our lives are shaped by our families and upbringing. This beautifully observed piece of writing is gripping, insightful and you'll find it hard to put down.

Exciting Times, Naoise Dolan

Exploring themes of power, privilege and love, this debut novel follows the life of an alienated young woman, whilst giving humorous commentary on the characters she engages with.

Klara and the Sun, Kazuo Ishiguro

'Klara and the Sun' tells the story of Klara, a highly observational robot who sits in a shop window, waiting to be bought. She analyses the behaviour of the customers who come into store; and the novel itself invites the reader to ask 'what does it mean to love?'
