We’re all probably aware, to some degree, of the art of living a bit more simply. Enjoying the little things in life - walking in nature, cuddles with the dog or truly savoring the flavours of a great yet uncomplicated meal full of natural ingredients.
So we think it’s great that there’s a whole annual event dedicated to simplicity. National Simplicity Day happens on 12 July each year, and encourages us all to ditch the gadgets for a while and enjoy the wonder of living in the present moment.
The day was inspired by Henry David Thoreau, a 19th century advocate for living in harmony with nature and enjoying the simple life, about which he wrote a number of books.
