At Thought, everything we create embraces the concept of slow fashion. Our clothes are made with the greatest consideration for people and the planet, and each collection is designed to last. There is a timeless touch to each of our pieces, and we truly believe they can be worn season after season. Our design team take inspiration from nature, galleries and our vintage archives for our prints, and the SS21 collection is no exception. Read on to discover the inspiration behind each of this seasons' print.
The Madelyn Print
Inspired by the delicate mix of flowers found in the sand and gravel in New Mexico, this contemporary, abstract print was hand-painted by our design team in north London. New Mexico was the home of writer Mary Austin, our muse for this collection. The fun, bold colours promise to bring a fresh addition to your wardrobe.
The Everly Print
This subtle and delicate print was inspired by the cactus flowers of New Mexico that Mary Austin would have been familiar with. The orange florals give the print a touch of femininity, and are enhanced by the black background. The Everly print is available on a collection of wonderfully comfortable jersey pieces.
The Kingsley Print
The Kingsley print is available on two summery styles for this season: a relaxed shirt dress and a flattering midi skirt. The artwork was inspired by a 1950's vintage dress, sourced at Portobello Market and reworked into a beautiful, tonal print.
The Leila Print
This bold, beautiful scarf features all of the key colours from this season. Screen-printed by hand, this abstract print is inspired by the sand and gravel of the New Mexican desert. Paired with a white tee, this statement scarf is the perfect piece to put a spring in your step.
