How to Style Bold Florals for Summer
Bold florals are a summer staple for some of us, but others find the idea of styling loud colours and heavy patterns to be an incredibly daunting task. But fear not, the Leolani Print is here to solve your styling woes!
Featuring peonies, roses, daisies, chrysanthemums, sunflowers, lupins; our lushest of all prints flourishes with a bouquet from all corners of the globe, printed on a blend of summer ready tencel and certified organic cotton.
Mark, our Head of Design, had this to say about the print: “we commissioned this print from a local artist to reflect Marianne North’s incredible botanical paintings. Digital printing enabled us to get the subtlety of the brushstrokes and depth of colour – you’re truly wearing a work of art when you wear these trousers. Paired with a simple white top they’re perfect for casual summer events as an alternative to a dress.”
To show that bold florals suit every body, we rounded up the tom-boys, minimalists and floral-avoiders in the office and challenged them to style the biggest, boldest baddest floral print available at Thought Clothing.
“The tunic really stood out to me, the pleat detail and floral print with the bright pink panel makes it really unique!” – Jessica, Production Coordinator
“I’m not usually one for bold prints but as soon as I put on the Leolani Trousers I feel in love! They’re fitted without feeling restraining, and the colours work with a bright top or a simple white short. They feel sophisticated but fun – I’d definitely wear them to the office or a summer event”. Annabelle, Social Media and PR Manager
“Tencel is a fantastic material for summer because it pulls moisture away from your body, keeping you cool on hot and humid days!” – Sadia, Sustainability Coordinator
“This is the first time I’ve worn a skirt in ages and it’s so nice! I’m definitely a trousers girl but if I had to wear a skirt, this would be the one. I really like that it’s not too heavy material, the organic cotton is really lightweight for the summer” – Hannah, Copywriter
